GEISTER ("Ghosts") will celebrate its
world premiere at the prestigious
45th Filmfestival Max Ophüls Preis in Saarbrücken, Germany! The world premiere screening will be on January 23, 2024 followed by fpur more festival shows.
The
Film Festival Max Ophüls Preis exclusively focuses on the work of new talents from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg and is considered the most important newcomer film festival in the German-speaking world. From Andreas Dresen to Barbara Albert, from Christian Schwochow ("The Crown") to Maria Schrader ("She Said"), from Detlev Buck to Sandra Nettelbeck - in over 40 years of festival history, countless talents have launched remarkable and award-winning careers from Saarbrücken.
GEISTER is being directed by Hans Henschel from a screenplay by Hans Henschel & Christoph A. Klimke, and starring Ali Berber, Manolo Bertling and Amal Keller.
MovieBrats Pictures is producing in co-production with the
Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg and
Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, with the support of
Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg.
