2016 has been an exciting year for MovieBrats Pictures in many respects, laying the foundation for a number of major steps we are going to take in 2017. Looking back we are very happy to see that our co-production ZOOLOGY by Ivan Tverdovsky, after starting out as a very small project, has made such a big splash at film festivals around the world.

Since its award-winning premiere at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival in June, the supernatural drama went on to play at over 45 festivals including Toronto, San Sebastian, Fantastic Fest, Zurich, BFI London, Mill Valley, Chicago, Busan, Copenhagen PIX, Thessaloniki and Cottbus. For 2017, we have already 10 festival screenings confirmed, kicking it off with the Palm Springs International Film Festival, beginning January 5th.

In addition, the movie took home a total of 11 major awards, most notably the Special Jury Prize at Karolvy Vary, Best Picture at Austin Fantastic Fest, and Best Film and Outstanding Actress at Film Festival Cottbus among others.
